To enjoy my food

A friend and I went to Bistro Taiyo for lunch today. I remember glancing at my phone on the table—face down because I’m an active listener—and thinking, “I love the food here so much. I should Instagram my bento box when it arrives.” (Note: Sorry, yes, “Instagram” as verb.)

Then I didn’t. When the moment for the eating came I remained happily there; photography didn’t enter my mind until I dropped the chopsticks on the empty box and pushed it away. So I photographed my unfinished miso soup.

The spring onions were particularly sweet.

Today I learned to enjoy my food. #bloguary
